I have just received the latest newsletter from North Yorkshire Record Office in Northallerton which contains FANTASTIC NEWS and I quote as follows:
'Saturday Opening
Starting this autumn the Record Office begins a trial run of Saturday opening. The office will be open, by appointment only, between 9.30am and 4.15pm on the first Saturday of the month from 6th October to 3rd May inclusive, except for the 5th April which is our annual Open Day. All our usual microfilm records and searchroom facilities will be available, but original items must be ordered in advance. To make a booking please contact us at the address below.'

Featuring Northallerton and District Local History Society’s ‘Landscape Project’ display which is now on view at the Record Office.
Saturday 17th November: Scarborough Family History Fair
IMPORTANT:
The Record Office will be closed for the week Monday 12th to
Friday 16th November to allow for essential structural alterations and stocktaking work. Written, e-mail and telephone enquiries will be answered as usual but there will be no searchroom service.
