Pauline Litton, MBE

January 2, 2013 2:00 pm Published by It was with great pleasure that I learned that our President, Pauline Litton, had been awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours for 2012.   This was given for her 44 years of research and her many books written to help other Family History researchers.  Much more detail can be found on the Federation of Family History Societes’ website and her long service to the Federation, where she is currently one of four Life Vice-Presidents.  Pauline became our President when  members voted to be a Society on our own  6 years ago.  I know that she was also a keen follower of cricket in her younger days, (an enthusiasm my husband shares).  The Society feel very honoured to have her as our President and at our January meeting I shall, as Chairman, offer her the congratulations of the Society. Wendy Symington, Chairman
